Whenever the dust is pre-classified before final filtration it becomes more difficult to collect. When problems exist with large amounts of extremely fine, submicron material reaching the bag house, a modification to the pre-collector that decreases efficiency may improve the situation with the added benefit of lowering system static pressure.
